Prior to your commercial carpet installation, let Commercial Flooring Concepts (CFC) know about any special leased furniture or vendor equipment that might have warranty restrictions about moves. Have staff clear their personal work areas and pack up some materials prior to the carpet installation. Following are two check lists for for things to do prior to the carpet installation.
1. Cean Office Desks - Desks should be cleaned off of all materials. Desks sometimes need to be turned on their sides in order to remove them from the room.
2. Unplug Computer - Please have computers unplugged and moved prior to our installation.
3. Pack Books - Bookcase contents should be boxed.
4. Pack Loose Materials - Materials and papers stored on the floor should be also boxed.
5. Leave Built-in-Furniture alone. Built in furniture will have the carpeting cut around it. You may leave all contents and computers on built in furniture.
6. Box Some File Drawers. Large 5 drawer lateral files should have the top 3 drawers unpacked. If the cabinets are light and not packed with papers, they might be able to be moved as is. Please be aware that some of the lighter gauge steel filing cabinets will bend and get ruined if they are not unpacked. Two and three drawer filing cabinets can remain full.
1. Pack Personal Things - Personal contents in cubical should be boxed.
2. Pack Loose Papers - Materials and papers stored on the floor should be also boxed. Materials and papers perched on top of furniture system should be boxed to prevent avalanches.
3. Turn Off Computers. Computers should be turned off but can remain on the desk.
4. Pack Some File Drawers. Large 5 drawer lateral files should have the top 3 drawers unpacked. If the cabinets are light and not packed with papers, they might be able to be moved as is. Please be aware that some of the lighter gauge steel filing cabinets will bend and get ruined if they are not unpacked. Two and three drawer filing cabinets can remain full.
*PLEASE LET US KNOW ABOUT VENDOR EQUIPMENT: Special Furniture leasing and some vendor equipment i.e. leased copiers, soda machines, av materials, etc. must be moved by the VENDOR or you will void your warrantee!!!
